Description
- This beautiful wood breastplate is carved from the mighty Macrocarpa tree also known as poor man’s Kauri
- Grown, sourced and handcrafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand
- This is an original design by Ruff Tūporo
- All our pendants are hot oil dipped and left to cure for a period of time which then hardens the wood
- After this process has finished they are then dipped a second time in our special heated organic oil/wax blend to add an extra layer of protection and water proofing
- This breastplate comes fitted with a black, 2 mm diameter, slip knot, braided cotton cord
- The last picture shows a native Rimu pendant that has been worn for 15 years without being removed. A testimony to the longevity and durability of wooden pendants worn all the time as the natural oils of the body help to preserve them.
