- This is truly one of a kind piece. Let me explain.
- Built from 100% native NZ Kauri, the table top is quite unique in that it is not laminated, but a solid slab of Native NZ Kauri. You can even count the rings of years on it.
- This piece was originally hand carved by an unknown artist then carefully disassembled, refurbished, rebuilt and carved to reveal something quite unique and special. Much of the original character has been preserved but Ruff Tūporo has added his own spin on this piece to elevate it’s looks and give it something totally new and fresh, while retaining its rustic and natural looks.
- This has been grown, sourced and hand-crafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand
- Nail holes, cracks, dings and small amounts of bora are just some of the characteristics these ancient woods may contain. These have either been naturally treated, filled or reinforced if we have seen the need to do so, always mindful of maintaining their original character
- Variations in colour, size, grain, saw marks and defects give all of our wood products a unique finish and effect
- Finished with multiple coats of Danish oil and topped with a special blend of raw beeswax and linseed oil
